Black Friday Sale, Wallaby Inspector, Webinar, and more...

Hi there,

Black Friday Sale

You may have already heard about our Black Friday sale and if so, we apologise for repeating ourselves. This year, Wallaby's Black Friday sale is simply epic. In addition to providing a 50% discount on new Quokka.js licenses, for the first time in 6 years we are also providing a 25% discount on new Wallaby.js licenses. These discounts are for both personal and company licenses but are only available until December 2nd, 2020. If you want to purchase company licenses, email us before December 2nd to lock in the discount.

If you have an expired personal license, for the duration of the sale you may also renew your license and receive a 50% discount.

If you have an expired company license, you will receive the sale discount for the product that you are renewing instead of the regular 10% renewal discount.

Wallaby Inspector (coming soon)

For a number of months now, we have been working on a really cool new Wallaby.js feature that we think is really going to improve your debug productivity.

For now, we're calling the new feature Wallaby Inspector but the name might change before it is released. Wallaby Inspector provides you with the ability to inspect logged values and error messages within your editor in a code window.

See video demonstration

The same information that is displayed in Wallaby Inspector is also available in Value Explorer and the Wallaby Tests window but having this display in a code window means that you can use your keyboard to navigate and interact with Wallaby Inspector just like if you were writing code. Besides keyboard productivity, staying in the "writing code" mindset will also help keep your flow. This new view doesn't stop you from using Wallaby as you do today, it provides another way to view the same information.

Wallaby Inspector will be available soon. Look out for our next newsletter and follow us on twitter for the next update.

Webinar

We ran our first free Wallaby webinar on Wednesday, 14th October 2020. You may watch the webinar recording on our website. Be sure to check out the timeline to go to a specific section of the Webinar recording.

If you would like to be notified about future upcoming Wallaby webinars, please register your interest. At this stage, we are planning to run another webinar in Q1/Q2 2021.

Some info about Wallaby

The Wallaby team is based in Australia's sunny Gold Coast. On average, the Gold Coast gets 300 days of sunshine a year and where we live is a 15 minute drive from some of Australia's most beautiful beaches.

🤔 Did you know that Wallaby has been self-funded since we started in 2015? Since then we have reinvested all of our earnings to improve our products. We also don't have external investors, which means we can stay lean and efficient and have the freedom to continue to invent on your behalf.

We value the JavaScript/TypeScript community and try to give back when we can:

📈 513 Wallaby Open Source users since our Open Source program launched in September 2020.

💰 $40K USD of company spend in 2020 supporting Quokka Community and Wallaby's Open Source program.

💚 $42K USD worth of licenses donated in 2020 to JavaScript meetups and the JavaScript community.

We hope you enjoyed this update!

Regards,

The Wallaby Team
