Feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding wallaby.js pricing and licensing (or experiencing any issues with the payment, or need a quote, or would like to submit a purchase order). Please note that we operate on NET-0/PIA payment terms, so the order must be paid in full before the license key can be issued.

What is the difference between named and company licenses?

Named User Licenses are intended for software developers who wish to purchase a wallaby.js license for their own personal or professional use with their own funds. The license can be used on multiple computers, though the license should not be used to run wallaby.js on multiple computers at the same time.

Named User Licenses are not to be purchased, refunded or in any way financed by companies.

Company Seat Licenses are available for purchase by companies intending to use wallaby.js for their business purposes. Different employees or members of your organization may use the license, provided that the number of employees using wallaby.js at any one time does not exceed the number of purchased company seat licenses.

Which wallaby.js license is best for me?

IntelliJ platform includes WebStorm, PhpStorm, RubyMine, IntelliJ IDEA and PyCharm.

Visual Studio license includes Visual Studio 2013, Visual Studio 2015, and Visual Studio 2017, Community, Professional, Premium, Ultimate, and Enterprise edition. Visual Studio Code licenses are sold separately.

The listed licenses are valid for the specified code editor(s). This means that an IntelliJ Platform license purchased today will work for WebStorm and other IDEs based on IntelliJ Platform and all supported future versions of those IDEs, but not for Visual Studio or Sublime Text editor.

The 'Freedom' license is different. JavaScript IDEs and code editors get better, and new market players emerge. Different projects may require you to use different code editors. As such, the editor you are using today may not be what you’ll be using in a few months’ or weeks’ time. For a little extra, you can have the freedom to use wallaby.js in any editor that we support today or will support in the future (within the free upgrades period of the license).

For how long can I use a purchased wallaby.js license?

All of the above licenses permit the perpetual use of the latest version of wallaby.js at the time of purchase, and all new versions released within 12 months of license purchase. After the first 12 months, the license can be upgraded for 50% of the normal price in order to receive support and access to new versions.

Additional information about the license types and other terms is available in the wallaby.js End User License Agreement.

How can I renew my existing license or upgrade it?
