We are absolutely thrilled with the response that our new VS Code extension, Console Ninja, has received since its launch in the first week of December, 2022. We now have over 130,000 total downloads and more than 25,000 developers using it every week! We couldn’t be more grateful to the community for embracing Console Ninja with such enthusiasm.

At its core, Console Ninja is all about helping developers write and debug their code more efficiently. We know how frustrating it can be to spend hours debugging your code or trying to track down the source of an error, which is why we designed Console Ninja to make the process as quick and painless as possible.

Together with Wallaby and Quokka, Console Ninja completes our vision for a purpose built tool-set to help you get real-time feedback on your JavaScript and TypeScript code during development, allowing you to code more efficiently and effectively. Whether you’re just starting out in development or you’re a seasoned pro, having access to these tools can help you save time and improve the quality of your code.

The core feature of Console Ninja is its ability to log and display errors and the values of runtime variables. We understand that debugging can be a time-consuming process, and being able to see errors and the values of your variables as you work with your code can save you a lot of time and frustration.

But we didn’t stop there. We also included a range of other features to make debugging even easier, such as the ability to log values without modifying your code, filter and search through your logs, track the execution time of your code, and more.

With an already impressive set of supported technologies, since launch, we have also added support for virtually any node application (starting from node v16.15.0), including Express, Hapi, Fastify, and custom node applications.

We are constantly amazed by the creativity and ingenuity of the development community, and we’re honored to be able to contribute to it with Console Ninja. Seeing the tool being used and appreciated by so many developers is truly humbling, and we can’t thank the community enough for its support.

Moving forward, we are committed to making Console Ninja even better, and we welcome any feedback or suggestions from the community on how we can improve the tool. Our goal is to continue to provide developers with the best possible tools and resources to help them succeed. To support our efforts and to allow us to scale our team, we are planning to introduce a PRO (paid) version of Console Ninja at some point in the next few months.

Once again, thank you to everyone who has downloaded and used Console Ninja. We couldn’t have achieved this level of success without you, and we look forward to continuing to work with the community to create even more amazing tools in the future.

If you haven’t tried Console Ninja yet, check it out, we hope you love it! 😊
